Hey everybody,
long time no see, but new year new me ;))
eyyy that rimed, I should be writing poems or something like that lol… I don’t want to be talking further about why I haven’t blogged, but all I can say is that I’ve missed it lots, so here I am again..
I am going to be reviewing a beaaaaaautiful facepalette from becca. It is from their holiday collection, but I bought it yesterday on 70% sale, such a bargain! It cost me 133DKK and was reduced from 445 DKK!
Firstly I want to talk about the beautiful, icey, metallic packaging.
This is the most gorgeous palettes I have ever seen, the packaging is silver and it is almost like a mirror. It has Becca written in the center with an ice-blue colour as well as some drawings around it. One word; STUN-NING!
Inside it, it has a huge mirror which is always great to have in a palette, and of course the most exciting part, the actual product. This becca palette contains 6 products, both limited edition and some of becca’s best-selling products. It has 3 highlighters, 2 blushes and one bronzer. The consistency is very soft and the formular is great and buildable. I am really surprised with this palette, of how pigmented and easy to blend the powders are, but also how freaking blinding the highlighters are – I loooove a good blinding highlighter!!
From left to right: bronzed bondi (bronzer), winter berry (blush), opal (highlighter), icicle (highlighter), blushed copper (blush), rose quartz (highlighter)
It’s not very often I find a palette (especially a face palette) where I would want to use every colour, but this is almost it. Let’s start with the bronzer. I was a bit skeptical about it at first, cause it has shimmer in it and it is a bit dark for my skin type, but I am pleasantly surprised. I wore it today (photo further down) and I really liked it, be careful because it is VERY pigmented, but if you apply it with a light hand, it looks nice + you can’t see the shimmer in it, which is a plus for me.
The highlighters are super beautiful and buildable. Opal is a golden colour, which is great for a lot of skintones (my friend with a little darker skin than me used it, and I swear it looked bomb!). The colour icicle is great if you love being a bit extra (who doesn’t haaa) and is a more white highlighter. Lastly, rose quartz, which has a pinky undertone and is really wearable.
I am not the biggest blush fan and I like my blushes to almost not be seen and should only add a tiny bit of healthy look to your face. These blushes are a little too pigmented for my taste, but I can make them work. Else, I think blushed copper would be the perfect coppery eyeshadow and/or great for people with darker skintone.
Wearing opal, bronzed bondi and winter berry.
This palette is a great buy and I would so recommend it for anyone who a) love makeup or b) who is new to makeup and wants a palette where you get everthing you need for blush, bronzer and especially highlighter.
Thank you for reading, I hope you all have had an amazing start on 2018 so far.
Hugs,
Anne x
